  1. @MrDicksalty sorry to seem rude. but if you mean singles, i know that margaret court won 24 singles grand slams and steffi won 22 singles gram slams

  2. @KerriganBryer LOOK I KNOW UR A CULT FOLLOWER BUT GET OVER IT HE LOST THE GUY HAS KNOW MOTIVATION NOW THESE YOUNG GUYS ARE HUNGRY IT’S LIKE WHEN A NOMADIC MALE LION TAKES OVER A PRIDE FROM THE OLD LION

  3. @JACKSONVILLE1200 Lol are you kidding me? Federer is and will always be, the greatest tennis player ever.

  4. @KerriganBryer LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL FEDERER IS FINISHED DICKHEAD GET OVER IT HE LOST THAT IS MODERN TENNIS DONT WATCH IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DICKHEAD SNM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. I hate this. Federer is an elegant player whereas Tsonga plays like a scumbag, he hit no shots that are memorable and just uses brute power, which is just ugly to watch.

  6. @lionjake72 relax take it easy federer is a sook his a game can’t beat nadal, he had a easy life until nadal came along, hes lucky he won 16. djokovic owns both of them nadal looks like federer freaking out.

  7. @Cairono What i was trying to say was, brute power is his main attribute… technique comes second. Nadal is already one of the greatest ever. Federer on the other hand though, is all technique, pure brilliance. There are many players who play similar to Nadal, where power is the focus, Nadal is being beaten at his own game at the moment by Djokovic aswel, which is a shame as i like Nadal.

  8. @motley0crue12 I agree with you that federer is one of the great, but saying nadal is just brute power, then you obviously dont know much about tennis

  9. @themios72 Oh boy… Given that you seem to be immune to logical arguments and to be just another Federer hating Sampras troll I will stop arguing with you. Just this: of course Federer can jump like Sampras. He performed the slam dunk several times, check out this for example: Wimbledon 2009 Semi Final: Federer vs Haas match point.

  10. @lionjake72 sampras beat the sook federer 2007 which his A game cant beat nadal. the match in asia it was real=egoes. msg sampras nearly beat the then number 1 player in the world 10 years younger than sampras. sampras 7 years retired federer just won. sampras has a better first second serve better forehand and much better volleys than the sook federer. ela what about the smash? federer cant jump sampras is m jordan on the tennis court. what a easy life the sook had nadal owns him big time.

  11. Federer 16 slams in 6 and a half years (Wimbledon 2003 – Australian Open 2010), Sampras needed 12 years for 14 slams (1990 – 2002)… nuff said. Sampras beat Federer in 2007? Dude, that was an exhibition… you know the difference between an exhibition and a real match, don’t you? By the way, they met once on a regular match. A young unexperienced Federer beat the titelholder Sampras on his favourite surface in 2001’s Wimbledon. Sampras much better than Federer? I don’t think so…

  12. @lionjake72 sampras 14 years 14 slams. sampras played against grand slam champions, mcenroe 7, lendl, 8, wilander 7, edberg 6, becker 6, connors 8, courier 4, agassi 8, etc and all these players former number ones. sampras won slams in his teens 20’s 30’s. sampras beat federer in asia in 2007 nearly beat him again msg. sampras had a big game 1st 2nd serve forehand, volleys, smash much better than federer. federer had a easy life until nadal came along. now its djokovic turn to own both of them

  13. @themios72 Sampras was a great player, the best of his generation. But to say that he was a much better player than Federer is BS. Federer is the much better overall player than Sampras was. Look only at Sampras poor clay court record. Federer has dominated tennis in his prime much more than Sampras in his ALL the records are in favour of Federer except two: Wimbledon titles (7 Sampras to 6 Federer) and most weeks as number one (286 weeks for Sampras, ONE week more than Federer…).

  14. @MrDicksalty

the sad thing is that the classical players are going to be more and more rare.

we are going to see more player playing like nadal and djokovic

  15. “It was pure instinct, nothing to do with strategy, just desire…”-Boris Becker.

    Perfect summary.

  16. Not to take away from the achievements of Djokovic or any of the other players, I do wish that Federer were the champion. I miss his artistry on the court and his grace off of it. I thought that this article was amusing and I hope that he does not retire: blogs.forbes.com/bluecarreon/2011/06/30/alternative-careers-for-roger-federer/

  17. Too bad Tsonga has so much difficulties to focus throughout an entire game.
With the potential he has he could be number one in the world.
At least, his games are entertaining as hell.

  18. steffi graf = roger federer, both won the most slams, single handed backhand.
monica seles = rafael nadal, both lefty, grunting..

  19. When you can understand that he is the best ? every sigle lost Federer’s match is the nicest day of the life of his opponent

  20. @themios72 true.. i think its pointless trying to say who is the greatest of all time.. for me federer is easily the grestest player to watch..nadal is great..but there are many like him, maybe not as good but federer doesnt even sweat and makes everything look effortless..at leadt in his prime he did anyway.

  21. @motley0crue12 yeah thats true but now they question that ever since nadal owns him. sampras said its hard to find who is the greatest you can only have the greatest of your generation.
